Macc Monster Event Notes

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE ROUTE

The route WILL be signposted but there is a chance that some markers may go missing or be tampered with. Therefore, please do not rely solely on the route markers!

You must observe the Highway Code at all times.

We have risk assessed the route. Our assessment is not definitive and road conditions (potholes etc) can change at any time. Please exercise care and indeed caution, especially if you are unfamiliar with the roads that form the route.

The Macc Monster is not a race. There are no prizes for position. Times will not be ranked. Finishing times will be published alphabetically. There are plenty of opportunities to miss out sections, if you are of that persuasion! If you inadvertently miss out part of the route, please let the organisers know so that we can append your finishing time.

Please make sure your bike is roadworthy and up to the task in hand. Take particular care to check the condition of your tyres and brakes; this is a challenge ride on often rugged backroads.

There are ample toilet facilities at the feedstations. For the courtesy of others in the countryside, please use designated facilities only.

Sag wagon contact number will be publicised before the event and on the day.

Signing on for registered participants is between 7.30am and 8.45am. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept entries on the line. Please sign on promptly; please address any questions to the start line marshals rather than the helpers handing out numbers to ensure that we start on time.

The Macc Monster will start promptly at 9am with all riders being set off en-masse in one group.

We have provided ample onsite and proximate free parking. A marshal will direct you if required.

You will be issued with your number, 2 cable ties to affix your number to your bike and an energy bar.

We have provided ample toilets and male and female changing at the start/finish.

With thanks to Big Storage for the use of the start/finish facilities and the hospitality of the Hotel Rudyard.
